1. Who we are
Better Endings is a brand of Luma Software Oy, Helsinki, Finland. Luma Software Oy is the controller of the personal information described here. You can reach us at hello@betterendings.io. This policy covers this website (betterendings.io). Each of our apps (Better Grief, Better Legacy, Better End and Better Grief Pets) has its own privacy policy on its own site.
2. What we collect
Contact form: your name, email address, and, if you give them, your phone number and organisation, together with your message. Licence purchases: the organisation's name and the name and email address of the person buying and managing the licence. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store card details. Licence portal: the email address used to sign in and manage your organisation's licence codes. Visit statistics: aggregate figures about page visits (for example, which pages are read and from which country). These are collected without cookies and do not identify you.
3. How we use it

4. Who processes it for us
• Google Firebase (Google Cloud): storing enquiries and licence records • Stripe: payments • Resend: sending emails • Vercel: hosting this website, and cookieless, aggregate visit statistics These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and data protection commitments.
5. Cookies and your choices
This site does not currently use analytics cookies. If we add analytics that uses cookies or similar browser storage, it will only run after you accept it in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time through "Cookie settings" in the footer. Storage that is strictly necessary for the site to work, such as remembering your cookie choice, is always used.
6. How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as they are needed to handle the matter. Licence and billing records are kept for as long as Finnish accounting law requires.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict its use, and to receive it in a portable format. To use these rights, email hello@betterendings.io. You can also lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
